Brock University Faculty of Business receives $25,000 donation from BDO Dunwoody LLP

ST. CATHARINES, ONTARIO….January 24, 2008–Giving back to the communities they serve across Canada is something BDO Dunwoody LLP prides themselves on. A recent $25,000 gift to the Brock University Faculty of Business is yet another example of how they are one of the Niagara region’s strongest community supporters. This gift reflects the long standing relationship Brock and BDO have had through the Faculty’s Co-op Accounting program.
“Many of our students have spent their co-op work terms with BDO and have gone on to become valuable full-time members of the BDO team after graduation. In view of this long-standing relationship, we are pleased to receive this donation.” said Martin Kusy, Dean of the Faculty of Business.
“Many of our professionals are Brock alumni, and we hold the school in very high regard,” said BDO Dunwoody CEO Gilles Chaput. “As such, we welcome this opportunity to help foster the development of Brock accounting students and maintain our relationship with such a valuable institution."
The donation will be used to assist the Faculty as it elevates its programs and will result in the naming of a meeting room within the Business building on Brock’s campus.
