Mr. Hilton is a Financial Advisory Services Partner servicing clients throughout much of Central and Southern Ontario including Barrie, Orillia, Newmarket, Alliston, Peterborough, Lindsay, Oshawa, Uxbridge and Cobourg. Mr. Hilton is also a Senior Vice-President of BDO Valuation Inc.
As both a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator Mr. Hilton has over 12 years of combined public practice experience in the financial advisory services, audit and accounting, consulting and taxation fields.
Mr. Hilton currently specializes in business valuations for a variety of purposes including private transactions, family law matters, shareholder disputes, and income tax purposes. Mr. Hilton's experience in family law matters also includes the preparation of income reports for purposes of determining spousal and child support.
In addition to valuation services, Mr. Hilton provides services in other areas including the quantification of economic damages, forensic and investigative accounting matters, and loss of income for insurance purposes.
Mr. Hilton has given a number of presentations to various groups regarding business valuations and related services. He has also testified as an expert witness and has assisted in settlement conferences and arbitrations.
Mr. Hilton served as the Treasurer of Credit Counselling Service of Simcoe County, a not-for-profit organization from June 2005 to June 2009.
