In The Community
BDO is an active member of the community in all of its locations across the country and strongly believes in business and ethics working together to achieve success for economic, social and cultural progression.
The strength of the BDO name in its local communities derives from its expert knowledge of the local market; it is the people on the ground in these offices who best understand the needs and priorities of the local community. And when global needs arise, such as the 2004 South-East Asian tsunami disaster, our international network enables us to facilitate significant efforts across Member Firms in trying to alleviate some of the burden felt by such tragedies.
The challenge we set for ourselves in making a difference is reflected in our range of corporate social responsibility activities, and our record in the community is something we are most proud of, and strive to improve upon every year. The list below highlights some of the areas of activity:
In addition to the Firm’s support, hundreds of BDO employees volunteer and support their own favourite causes through their own individual efforts. Last year, over 500 organizations benefited from the generosity of our people.
